Strengthen your immune system with outdoor activities

Exercise in the fresh air improves your physical and mental health.

Strengthen your immune system with outdoor activities

Our bodies are made for movement. We all know the beneficial effects of physical activity on our body and mood. Moderate to intense physical activity is generally recommended for boosting health. Movement is very important for our well-being. Activity strengthens the immune system and reduces the possibility of infection with influenza viruses, colds, and other illnesses.

Are you convinced yet? Will you head outdoors in the next few days to get some fresh air and take care of your health?

Being active in the sunshine and fresh air is important!

Take some time for yourself and get out of town. Physical activity in the fresh air improves blood circulation and boosts your resistance. Fresh air affects both physical and mental health. Taking a walk in nature is considered the best medicine. People who take regular walks in the woods have lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol, lower blood pressure and a slower heart rate.

Exercise accelerates your breathing. Faster breathing causes the body to expel waste gases through the lungs more rapidly, especially carbon dioxide. Sweating, on the other hand, encourages the body to remove waste through the skin.

Exercise also increases the metabolism by three to six times above the resting level.

In spring and autumn, it is important to catch as much sun as possible. Sunshine is the best source of Vitamin D, which is important for the body and the functioning of the immune system.

    Healthy life

    Health is our greatest wealth!

“Physical activity has beneficial effects on many health indicators and can significantly reduce morbidity and mortality. Among other things, it strengthens the immune system, prevents the onset of many chronic non-contagious diseases in adolescence, improves sleep, and protects against various addictions.”

    What activities can I do?

It is possible to remain active in the outdoors all year round. In winter, you can hit the snowy slopes for sledding, skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, or go winter hiking in the great outdoors. As the saying goes, winter sleep is for bears only.

We all look forward to spring and warmer days, as this means more outdoor activities. Before heading into the outdoors and breathing fresh air, make sure you are physically prepared and your gear is in good order.

In the springtime, you can still ski, biking, hike in the hills, climb a rock face, or release adrenaline by rafting down a wild river. On warmer days, you can head to one of the lakes or the sea for stand-up paddling, kayaking or canoeing and refresh yourself in the crystal clear water.
