Dobrna is located at the foot of Paški Kozjak Hill, not far from Velenje and Celje. It’s known as the town with the longest health resort tradition in Slovenia.
The local spa was first mentioned as far back as in 1403, while a health resort opened as early as in 1582. Dobrna is known for baths which are used to treat women’s illnesses and heart, liver, and nerve conditions. Even the famous German author Karl May used to visit here around the year 1900.
Dobrna is a green town. You can relax while walking down a more-than-200-year-old avenue of chestnut trees or in an energy park. There’s no shortage of walking, cycling, and educational trails.
