Mariborsko Pohorje
Pohorje is a heavily forested mountain chain in northern Slovenia. It towers above Maribor, Slovenia’s second largest city. The Pohorje ski centre is known around the world because it hosts the women’s world cup competition called the Golden Fox.

You can enjoy more than 40 kilometres of ski slopes with various levels of difficulty. The ski centre has the longest illuminated ski slope in Europe. It is 10 kilometres long and is suitable for beginners as well as advanced skiers and snowboarders.
A system of 1 gondola, 3 double-seaters, 1 four-seater and 1 six-seater takes you on your chosen slope. This season, in 2023, there is a new intermediate station of the circular ski lift and a brand new the Ruška four-seater ski lift.
To reach the Pohorje cable car, you can also take the city bus from the center of Maribor.
Pohorje is a popular day-trip and recreational destination for all ages, which you can visit all year round.
Skiers, snowboarders, hikers, mountaineers, mountain bikers, paragliders, lovers of horses and seekers of adrenaline-filled adventures all meet here, on the snow-covered ski slopes and running and walking trails.
