You can start your trip in Kamnik, which is easily accessible by both rail and bus, and from there take the Hop on – Hop off service to Logarska dolina. This beautiful valley will amaze you on arrival with its spectacular views of the surrounding peaks, which create a unique atmosphere in this unspoilt corner of Slovenia. You can disembark at the Plesnik Hotel and from there, follow the thematic trail, which will leave you with its rich natural and cultural heritage, to see the mighty Rinka Waterfall. You won’t leave hungry, as the hospitable stops along the way will provide you with plenty of authentic local dishes. Recharged by the fresh energy of the glacial valley, take a stroll through the town centre and enjoy one of the local Kamnik beers on your return to Kamnik. Kamnik is famous for having the most breweries per capita in the world!

Logar valley
There are two Gornik villages in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, Luče and Jezersko, and you can take a day trip from one to the other with Hop on – Hop off transport. In Jezersko, you can stop at Planšar Lake, from where you can follow a themed trail through the Ravenska Kočna valley, or in the centre of the town at the local TIC point, from where a freshly-laid out themed trail leads to a lehnjak spring. After an active day, enjoy a tasty lunch at the Šenk’s Homestead, where you can enjoy the local delicacies and the beautiful views.
If you fancy a day full of ethnological heritage and exceptional cuisine, then take a trip to Luče. Their traditional fireflies are definitely not to be missed! This subalpine village is also a great starting point for various hiking trips, as it is surrounded by mountains. With the Hop on – Hop off shuttle service, you can also go on longer hikes in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps without worrying about parking.

From Cerklje to Preddvor (or vice versa), you can walk along a section of one of the stages of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps Water Trails Network, and return by Hop on – Hop off. On the way, you can refresh yourself at the spring by Strmol Castle, whose chemical and microbiological analyses show excellence, and the castle itself, which is one of the state’s protocol buildings, will not leave you indifferent. The water trail will then take you past the Češnjevek pond and the monastery in Adergas to Lake Črnava, where you can relax with the beautiful views and a good coffee in the Bor Park. From there, you can walk past the local TIC point to the centre of Preddvor, where you should not miss a visit to the Dvor Castle. The recently renovated castle offers fresh and very attractive content, which is further spiced up by the hosts, the Countess and the Count.
