Slovenia Outdoor study tour in the Dolomites

Our three-day educational tour in the Dolomites was full of cycling and hiking activities, lectures and sightseeing.

The focus on sustainability and the insight into cycling in the heart of the Dolomites provided valuable knowledge for our members. We discussed the challenges of guiding visitors in protected areas, which Gerhard Vanzi brought to our attention. The Dolomites are known for their varied and challenging mountain biking opportunities, making them a dream destination for cycling enthusiasts.

After arriving in Selva Gardena, we quickly checked in and had a delicious lunch. We spent the afternoon mountain biking, with three different cycling groups and a hiking group. We also listened to an interesting lecture by Gerhard Vanzi, founder of BMW HERO Südtirol Dolomites, who shared his inspiring success story. The evening was rounded off with a culinary cycling dinner at the Linder Cycling Hotel

Roberto Huber, Director of the Marathon dell Dolomiti, gave us an insight into the myth of road cycling, followed by a lively discussion on technical jargon, categories of cycling products, the difficulty of the routes and digitisation. While exploring the Dolomites, we were also enchanted by the beautiful Seceda, an invaluable destination for hikers and nature lovers.

Before we finish, we would like to thank Positive Sport agency for providing the bikes, the guiding and the advice so that all participants could enjoy the beautiful views.

This educational tour in the Dolomites was a great opportunity for our members to broaden their horizons, strengthen their bonds and enjoy the outdoors.
