    Runs and infrastructure

The ski slope is suitable for all types of skiers and snowboarders. Beginners and recreational skiers alike can enjoy slopes in Kranjska Gora and Planica, while in Podkoren the slope is a challenge for more advanced skiers. There, the world’s best skiers compete every year at a world cup competition.

    Kranjska Gora

    What to do

This is a world-renowned winter sports centre, which is an incredible holiday destination all year round. It has all of the necessary infrastructure, so it has successfully hosted Alpine skiing world cup competitions for decades.

You can reach the slope by simply making a few steps from your room. There’s only a ‘snow beach’ between the hotel and the slopes, which will sometimes seduce you into enjoying the winter sun instead of skiing, while ski instructors teach your children how to ski in a snow kindergarten, with the help of a baby lift and a variety of fun obstacles.

Courses are also available for adults. If you don’t know how to ski, but you’d like to learn, you’ll be provided with a patient ski instructor and you can rent ski equipment, so that you can ski down an easy run the very first day. You’ll make progress over time and perhaps even visit the competition slope in Podkoren, the venue of an annual Alpine skiing world cup race.

    What to do in winter:

    • Snow beach
    • Snow kindergarten
    • Ski school
    • Ski equipment rental
    • Ski school
    • Cross-country skiing
    • Ice-skating
    • Events: an annual slalom and giant slalom competition for the Vitranc Cup

Kranjska Gora and its surrounding area offer a lot of interesting things outside of the skiing season, too, when the snow is replaced by grass.

There’s a summer sledging course, a summer toboggan, a bike park, and a children’s bike park. At the top station of the quad chairlift, you can visit theBedanc Cabin, where you can grab a bite to eat, while your kids have fun at a themed orientation park.

A panoramic ride up to Mt Vitranc will stay in your memory for its beautiful views and local culinary specialities at the top of Mt Vitranc. Nearby Mt Ciprnik is also a popular destination. You can go paragliding both from Mt Ciprnik or Mt Vitranc.

What to do in the summer:

    • Summer sledging course
    • Summer toboggan
    • A bike park
    • A children’s bike park
    • Themed trails
