    The ski centre is located at elevations from 1010 m to 1536 m in the far western, highest part of the Pohorje Hills, above the town of Slovenj Gradec. Surrounded by lush forests, it offers beautiful views of the surrounding area and is easily accessible by car.

    In the summertime, an adrenaline park with 7 stations on an area of 20,000 square meters and a well-kept Bike Park with a large fleet of modern bikes (also electric) await you here.

     

    The winter activities at the Kope ski center are known for satisfying all types of skiers and snowboarders, regardless of their experience. Among the most popular activities are skiing and snowboarding, where you can enjoy different tracks adapted to different levels of difficulty. For those looking for even more adrenaline, skicross is available, while nature enthusiasts will enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The Kope Ski School is an excellent choice for those who want to improve their skiing skills or make their first turns.

    Runs and infrastructure

    The Kope mountain resort is the central winter center of Koroška, combining an authentic mountain atmosphere, modern infrastructure, and a homely feel at the highest elevations of Pohorje, which is why visitors love to return. The ski resort offers more than 12 kilometers of groomed slopes, suitable for beginners, families, and more demanding skiers. The slopes are connected by four chairlifts, including two new ones, and additional facilities. Kope is also famous for the largest night skiing in Slovenia, which creates a very special winter atmosphere on the illuminated slopes.

    What to do

    An important part of the experience is Sport Kope, where visitors can find everything they need for carefree skiing: equipment rental, service, and a ski school with qualified instructors. Next to the ski resort, there are children’s playgrounds and a toboggan run, while huts and restaurants offer a variety of mountain flavors. In the evenings, Kope is known for its concerts, events, and relaxed après-ski atmosphere.

     

    The resort is undergoing intensive development. Grmovškov dom was completely renovated in 2023, the new 4* Hotel Panorama Kope will open in December 2025, and a modern wellness complex will open in early 2026. All investments follow the vision of sustainable development and the use of local materials that preserve the Pohorje character of the area.

     

    Kope is not just a winter destination—it is also intensively developing its summer outdoor offerings and MICE programs, making it a top year-round mountain destination.
