    Golte

    Golte is a forested plateau on the eastern brinks of the Kamnik and Savinja Alps, in the heart of the Savinja Valley. Winter in Golte brings joy to skiers and snowboarders. More than 12 km of perfectly maintained pistes are available for all skill levels. The technical team takes care of optimal conditions on the tracks with the help of a technical snowmaking system. The longest cablecar in Slovenia takes you from the valley straight to the ski resort, where you can enjoy skiing on various slopes.

     

    NEW:  Two all new and modern 4-seater ski lifts, while the digitalisation of ski pass sales and technical improvements to the existing infrastructure are also on the horizon.

     

    You can reach the ski centre in a gondola or by taking the road from Mozirje. The gondola entry station is in Žekovec, and there are more than 1000 free parking spots right next to it. The gondola ride to the four-star Hotel Golte, which is located directly next to the ski slope, takes eight minutes.

    Runs and infrastructure

    The ski centre is located at an elevation from 1250 metres to 1600 metres and it stretches across about 50 hectares of dynamic nature. It uses an advanced snow-making system to provide visitors with an excellent snow foundation from December to the end of March.

     

    This season, 2023, the old Smrekovec and the Stari Stani ski lifts will be replaced by two modern 4-seater ski lifts, while the digitalisation of ski pass sales and technical improvements to the existing infrastructure are also on the horizon.

     

    Just over 12 kilometres of ski slopes are adapted to all kinds of skiers.

    What to do

    The ski centre is family-friendly and child-friendly: There’s a children’s course right next to the ski slope, where children can make their first attempts at skiing. The White Rabbit Ski School is the most exciting skiing and snowboarding school with a long tradition and professionally qualified skiing and snowboarding instructors. It offers individual and group courses. The school has also had many years of experience in teaching children with special needs. The ski school is located at Hotel Golte, where you can also find a ski equipment rental facility, a ski equipment shop, and a modern ski service/repair shop.

    There’s a lot happening at Golte in the summer. The gondola will take you to Golte, where it’s 10 degrees cooler than in the valley, even in summer. You can go hiking, cycling, explore the Alpine Garden, or choose to do something that will give you more of an adrenaline rush.

    Hotel Golte and holiday apartments are located directly on the slope.

    Private accommodation is also available in nearby Mozirje and Žekovec near the lower gondola station.
