There is nothing more beautiful than plowing through the winter landscape on cross-country skis. Kranjska Gora and its surroundings offer you daily groomed cross-countrypistes that are suitable for both beginners and more experienced cross-country skiers.
You can enjoy cross-country skiing in the Rateče-Planica ski and cross-country skiing center, and if you don’t mind the exertion during recreation, you can head further towards Tamar from below Planiška Velikanka. Spruce trees dressed in winter coats will accompany you all the way to the final station, to the mountain hut in Tamarje.
When there is sufficient natural snow, cross-country pistes are also arranged in Gozd Martuljek, Mojstrana and Zgornja Radovna.
If you prefer to run at night, behind the Hotel Kompas in Kranjska Gora you will find abeautifully groomed cross-country piste under lit up.
