Autumn in the

Kamnik-Savinja Alps

When the summer hustle and bustle fades and nature slows down, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps smell of autumn. At that time, everyone can find their own piece of peace, inspiration, or adventure among the mountains.

    For those eager to explore

Walk along the Small Spring Trail in Kamniška Bistrica and collect clean drinking water with your hands, embark on the thematic Tufa trail in Jezersko, find the more than 700-year-old Solčava yew, one of the oldest trees in Slovenia and a natural asset of national importance, or get to know the destination Cerklje na Gorenjskem with a completely new digital pocket guide.

    Tufa Spring

    For family hikes

The theme trail The Secret of the Court Storks, the Trail of the Shepherd’s Elves on Krvavec and the fairy-tale forest in the Logarska Valley – the Kamnik-Savinja Alps also offer more than enough opportunities for your first hiking challenges in autumn. A trip to the Arboretum Volčji Potok is always a popular option, and in autumn it is further enriched by a pumpkin exhibition – this year it will take you to the world of the Smurfs.

    For hiking enthusiasts

There is also much to be found in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps for hiking enthusiasts, but we will share with you just a few ideas: the mountain hut on Sv. Jakob, Šenturška gora, the chapel on Molička planina above Luče, a walk through the Robanov kot Landscape Park as in the Solčavsko region. Velika planina also fascinates again and again, and this autumn it is especially magical, as it is only accessible on foot due to maintenance work on the cable car. Of course, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps also offer real mountaineering challenges, which are worth overcoming safely and with consideration.

For all those who love to eat well

On the 19th of October, you can also feel the autumn in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps on your plate, as part of the Restaurant Week, Hotel Plesnik in Logarska dolina, Dvor Jezeršek in Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Hiša Raduha in Luče, Restaurant Planinka in Ljubno ob Savinji and Gostilna Krištof in Predoslje will also be presenting themselves.
