The course is circular, 1,250 meters long, asphalted. The course is certified by AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races). In 2024 12-hour race received the golden label of International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU), which proves that it is a top-level race and it is also internationally known. Only a few races in the world have the golden label. The 6-hour race has an IAU bronze label. Many of the famous foreign and Slovene ultrarunners were participated at the past editions of SLO 12RUN.
