The Brda Mountaineering Association organises a hike through the hills and valleys of Brda, through the villages of Brda, past natural and cultural sights, known as the “HIKE FROM CHERRY TO CHERRY”.

At various points on the hike, we are offered completely different views of Brda, presenting our region in all its variety and diversity. We have prepared a new and modified route for you, which runs through the middle part of Brda, partly along the “DRUGNBERNCA” route.

The entry fee includes: refreshments at a stop along the way; at the stop you will be able to taste Brescian cherries, olive oil, frtalja and homemade pastries. At the end of the day, you will have a pate, a drink and a gift.

The hike is strenuous but easy, requiring only a little fitness, and is therefore suitable for all who like to walk. The route is on roads and tracks. Walking shoes are required.

Walk at your own risk! Please observe the road traffic regulations. Walkers are asked not to break branches on the cherry trees along the way and cause damage.

To facilitate the organisation of the walk, participants are kindly asked to register in advance by emailing pdbrda@pzs.si.

For individuals, please let us know your name and place, but for groups, the number of participants, the place or association and the name of the group leader will suffice. Only for individuals and groups registered on time will we be able to provide a hot meal at the end of the walk and a gift.

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE HIKE

The hike “FROM CHERRY TO CHERRY” is so called because it starts and ends at the cherry tree that was planted at the beginning of the second hike under the Brda Cellar. This cherry tree will be 19 years old this year. The route of the walk will be well signposted with direction signs at junctions, red and white ribbons, and there will be traffic wardens at the crossings of the main roads.
