Slovenia was the first country to host the Velofollies cycling fair this year, which in recent years has become one of the most important, if not the most important, cycling fairs in the world. Although it is not the largest, it is certainly the best in terms of the number and quality of exhibits and attracts cycling enthusiasts from all over the world.
In close cooperation with the fair organizer and the Slovenian Tourist Organization, we managed to set up one of the most beautiful and largest presentations of Slovenia as a cycling destination. As many as 20 members of Slovenia Outdoor collaborated with us, who presented their roads, trails and cycling experiences in detail, and shared their passion for cycling with visitors.
Above all, we noticed a huge interest and familiarity among the visitors with Slovenia as an outdoor destination, which pleasantly surprised us. We were also surprised by their visit plans, which mostly included visiting all regions, not just the most famous tourist attractions. Most of those who will visit us this year will do so on bicycles, either their own or rented.
