Rožle Trail

The trail connects the rocky Grančišče viewing point above the village of Mojstrana and the Peričnik Falls, one of the most beautiful falls in Slovenia. Along the trail, you can visit the Slovenian Alpine Museum and treat yourself to an adrenaline ascent by protected routes to Grančišče. In the Peričnik Falls Lodge, you can have a snack, and walk up to both falls by a partly circular trail.

The trail connects the rocky hill Grančišče above Mojstrana and the Peričnik waterfall, one of Slovenia’s most beautiful waterfalls.Turn off the trail to visit the Slovenian Alpine Museum and get an adrenaline rush by climbing the via ferrata to reach the top of Grančišče. The trail begins at the Slovenian Alpine Museum and leads you along the via ferrata or walking trail on Grančišče, a hill offering magnificent views from its top. After descending, the trail takes you to the Vrata Valley, by hiking along the Triglavska Bistrica Trail and finally reaching the hut at the Peričnik. The hut offers refreshments and is the starting point of the partially circular trail le- ading to both waterfalls. To return, you may choose to either take the tourist bus or get to Mojstrana on foot.
You can continue your hike by going uphill along the Triglavska Bistrica Trail up to the mountain hut “Aljažev dom”
and reaching the magnificent Triglav Northern Wall, the symbol of Slovenian alpinism, thus prolonging the hike by nearly 3 hours altogether. The mountain hut “Koča pri Peričniku” can be accessed by the tourist bus which will shorten the hike.
