in the idyllic environment of Zreško Pohorje, where winter has been generous with natural snow in recent years, lies rogla, at an altitude of 1,517 metres. Diverse activities that take place on white slopes are additionally spiced up by international competitions. After hosting Fis Cross-country world Cup competitions in 2009 and 2011,
rogla also became known as a venue for the Fis snowboarding world Cup competitions. During the slovenian sports holiday, a diverse programme is carried out at rogla with the Fis competition as a central event at which around 120 snowboarders from more than 20 countries worldwide measure their skills against each other. An exciting competi- tion at which the sizeable slovenian team also competes, attracts several thousand visitors who come to watch the event on-site, while it is followed on tv by almost 20 million people globally.
