One of the biggest winter sports events will start in less than a month, on February 21. At that time, the cream of the world’s Nordic skiers will gather in the valley below Ponce, Planica and Kranjska Gora where they will compete for “victory and glory” in the glittering winter arena, with the roaring support of tens of thousands of fans echoing from the mountains.
Over 2,000 athletes with teams, over 2,000 media representatives, between 150,000 and 200,000 visitors are just a few numbers that show the scale of the event. The media will send the picture out into the world to more than 450 million viewers.
